Hello, I'm Darren. I was born in Canterbury, England. I have lived in Portugal for nearly 20 years, and in Tomar for over ten. My home is opposite the Castle and Convent of Christ, so this is my neighbourhood as well as my work.

Before I became a guide, I worked in people management and development. That taught me to listen, and to explain things clearly and calmly.

I am not an academic historian. I am a passionate, licensed guide who checks the facts. To back up my years of local experience, I earned a specialist Diploma in the Knights Templar and graduated with a perfect 100% score.

When you tour Tomar with me, you get accurate history and the warmth of a local friend.

Hello, I'm Hannah. I grew up in Portugal, and I make sure everything about your visit runs smoothly.

I research the history behind our tours and write the content for the Templar stories we tell. I also look after your booking, answer your questions, and arrange access with the Castle and the monuments, so there are no surprises on the day.
